Warrantee

1. Warranty Coverage
We offer a 9 month warranty on all cricket bats against manufacturing defects on the basis that willow is a natural product, subject to wear and tear during training and matches and should be fully knocked-in before use. This warranty covers:
-Manufacturing defects: Issues related to the construction and design of the bat, such as a broken handle or cracks that occur under normal playing conditions.
-Faulty craftsmanship: Any flaws in the craftsmanship or assembly of the bat that affect its performance and longevity.

2. Exclusions
Our warranty does not cover damage resulting from the following:
- Misuse or abuse: Damage caused by using the bat on non-standard surfaces (such as concrete, walls, or stone) or playing conditions (e.g., using the bat as a training tool or hitting hard objects).
-Normal wear and tear: This includes surface scuffing, wear on the edges, and other natural signs of use. This may be caused by digging out a yorker, the ball taking the edge of the bat, use of poor quality balls or water / moisture damage.
-Improper care: Damage resulting from failure to properly maintain the bat, including not oiling the bat, failing to knock in the bat (even if service is purchased, gradual ball hardness introduction is recommended), or not using it in a suitable environment (e.g., extreme heat or moisture).
-Accidental damage: Any damage caused by accidents, such as dropping the bat or hitting it against the ground or stumps.

3. Warranty Claims Process
To submit a warranty claim, please follow these steps:
-Contact Us via the Contact link / form below with details about the issue you’ve experienced with your cricket bat and a picture of all areas of the bat. Please include your order number and the date of purchase.
-Inspection: We will examine photos of the bat and may require you to return the bat for inspection. This allows us to assess whether the issue falls under the scope of our warranty.

Resolution: If your claim is accepted, we will either:
-Repair the bat, if possible, or
-Offer to repair the bat at a charge of £50 (only includes postage to return the bat to you).
-Offer a replacement bat of equivalent value or the same model, subject to availability.
-Please note that the decision to approve or reject a warranty claim is at the sole discretion of Newgate Cricket, based on the nature of the defect and the condition of the bat.

4. Limitations of Liability
-The maximum liability of Newgate Cricket under this warranty is limited to the original purchase price of the cricket bat. We do not accept responsibility for any indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the product.

5. Terms and Conditions
-This warranty is only valid for the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
-Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period from the date of purchase.
-All bats should be properly cared for following the guidelines provided above at the time of purchase to ensure longevity.

Thank you for choosing Newgate Cricket for your cricket equipment. We are dedicated to providing you with the best service and products, and we appreciate your business.
